WINE TASTING – MURFATLAR RESORT

Short History:

After more than a century of uninterrupted activity, Murfatlar Resort sails through the sometimes clear, sometimes wild waters of history.
The first experimental plantations were established in the Murfatlar Nursery in 1907 by planting several French varieties, three of which passed the test of time: Chardonnay, Pinot gris and Pinot Noir. After years of searching, the natural vocation of the vineyard is defined: the production of high quality liqueur wines.
For a short time, between 1939 and 1942, the Nursery became Royal Vineyard. In 1942, the Murfatlar Experimental Viticultural Resort was established, subordinated to the Romanian Institute of Agronomic Research.
